This was by far the craziest gig we ever pulled off. If Ray Dennis Steckler directed a remake of The Manchurian Candidate starring KISS, it still would have been way off base. I think it also marks the 3rd gig in 25 years I’ve known Rich Stiehm’s amp to literally blow up. We had a theremin and Alan’s JFK mask had a custom blood pump through a head wound = classy.

All I can say is: look at these pics and watch the videos located here and here. The “pro” one was edited by Rich Stiehm and stars the lovely La Maia. There’s also a couple of good pre-production (costumes) shots.

Pretty much one of the best nights of my life! I wish every gig was like this.

Here is the full account of all that transpired on Saturday June 18th 2011 at the Mermaid Ball. I can comfortably admit it was the most surreal gig of my life. This was recorded among no less than 40 motorcycles at The Shop in Williamsburg on May 21st 2011. The Shop is NYC’s only licensed bar/venue/cafe/motorcycle garage and a unique space to record/play in as you’ll hear. Click here for audio and here for video.
